Fleet Xpress

Inmarsat managed broadband service combining Ka-band Global Xpress with L-band FleetBroadband as a backup channel. Fleet Xpress provides committed information rate plus burst capacity for ship operators, with automatic failover to L-band when Ka-band is unavailable due to severe weather or coverage gaps. The service includes managed network features, application access, and crew welfare offerings. Fleet Xpress is widely used in fleet operations alongside Inmarsat-C for GMDSS and replaces standalone FleetBroadband installations on most modern merchant vessels.
