Data-driven comparative rankings synthesised from the seafarerindex datasets — flag administrations, cruise lines, shipping operators, shipyards, classification societies, crew-change hubs, and welfare organisations. Every page below ranks by a measurable attribute already in our data, with the source and methodology cited inline. No editorial "best of" lists — every row is anchored to a published number.

- Flags by MLC 2006 ratification year
Which flag administrations ratified MLC first vs. last vs. not yet — a proxy for how seriously each flag treats seafarer rights.
- Flags by FoC status × Paris/Tokyo MoU rating
Combined signal: which flags carry the ITF FoC designation alongside their PSC rating. White-rated FoCs and black-rated non-FoCs both exist; this view shows you which.
- Cruise lines by crew pay tier
All 25 cruise lines sorted by relative pay tier (very-high → high → mid-high → mid). Pay tier is within the cruise market, not across deep-sea cargo.
- Cruise lines by fleet count
The 25 indexed cruise lines sorted by number of ships — Carnival Corporation brands dominate the count, but MSC and Royal Caribbean run the largest individual ships.
- Crew-change hubs by coverage
Hubs from data/crew-change-hubs.json scored on overlap with welfare-centre and port-authority data. The top 30 are the best-supported crew-change destinations in this index today.
- Shipyards by national segment
30 indexed shipyards grouped by country tier (Korean / Japanese / Chinese / European / US / Indian). Useful for matching a newbuild's likely engine + bridge fit to its origin yard.
- Classification societies by classed tonnage
The 11 IACS societies sorted by approximate classed tonnage. DNV leads at ~290 M GT; the long tail (PRS, CRS, IRS) handles regional fleets.
- Welfare organisations by port coverage
The 10 distinct welfare ministries running the 423 indexed seafarer centres, sorted by centre count. Mission to Seafarers and Stella Maris dominate; Sjømannskirken, DSM, and NAMMA round out the principal English-language network.
