Plan required by MARPOL Annex V Reg. 10 covering procedures to be followed by ship's personnel for the collection, segregation by category, processing, storage, and disposal of garbage. The plan applies to ships ≥100 GT and to ships certified to carry 15 persons or more. The plan covers segregation into MARPOL Annex V categories (plastics, food wastes, domestic wastes, cooking oil, incinerator ashes, operational wastes, fishing gear, animal carcasses, e-waste). The plan is supported by the Garbage Record Book, where every disposal, incineration, or handover ashore is logged.
