IMDG Class 7 is the dangerous-goods classification for radioactive material under the IMDG Code. Packages are assigned categories I-White, II-Yellow or III-Yellow according to their radiation level and transport index, with stringent requirements for labelling, packaging (Type A, Type B and Type C packages, and industrial packages IP-1/2/3) and segregation. Most container operators refuse Class 7, so specialised operators such as Pacific Nuclear Transport Ltd and NAC International handle it, and irradiated nuclear fuel is carried under the additional requirements of the INF Code.
