Shelltime

Shell-issued tanker time-charter form, currently Shelltime 4 (1984, with widely-used 2003 amendments). The form is the dominant tanker time-charter standard alongside BPTime, ExxonMobil's TimeCharter and BIMCO's tanker forms. It covers vessel performance warranties, bunker quality, ITOPF compliance, vetting acceptance, and detailed off-hire wording. Shelltime 4 has been the focus of reported tanker-disputes case law on speed and consumption claims, weather routing evidence, and the meaning of the 'all-fast' description in the warranties.
