Certificate of Proficiency issued under STCW Reg. I/2 for ratings and supporting-level functions, including Able Seafarer Deck (A-II/5), Able Seafarer Engine (A-III/5), proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats (A-VI/2), advanced fire fighting (A-VI/3), proficiency in fast rescue boats (A-VI/2-2), and security awareness / SSO. CoPs evidence specific competence rather than a senior rank position. Revalidation requirements depend on the specific CoP — survival-craft and fire-fighting CoPs require five-yearly refresher training under the 2010 Manila Amendments.
