About
The Sailors' Society is a British-founded, non-denominational maritime-welfare charity that has supported seafarers since 1818. It operates port chaplaincies across more than 30 countries, focused on welfare, crisis response, mental-health support (including its Wellness at Sea programme), and ship visits. The Society also runs a 24-hour multilingual helpline (Sailors' Society SeafarerHelp).

What to expect at a centre
Sailors' Society centres are typically smaller than Mission or Stella Maris centres but offer the same core services: wifi, quiet space, chaplaincy, transport, and access to the Wellness at Sea programme for mental-health support. Their post-piracy and abandonment crisis response is among the most active in the industry.
What to bring
No paperwork needed for casual visits. For crisis cases (abandonment, mental-health, family emergency), bring whatever ID documents you can — passport, seaman's book, and any contract or wage-account paperwork — to make the chaplaincy's advocacy faster.
