OPITO Standard 5750 Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training — three-day course required for personnel new to offshore travel. Modules include general offshore safety induction, helicopter underwater escape (HUET), sea survival, fire-fighting, escape, and basic first aid. Successful completion is the entry passport to most offshore O&G installations and is reverified every four years through Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET). Tropical-water variants (TBOSIET) replace cold-water modules for SE Asia, West Africa, and Brazil. Industry recognition is administered through OPITO's quality-assured training-provider network.
