SIRE 2.0

OCIMF Ship Inspection Report Programme version 2.0 — the risk- and behaviour-based inspection regime for tankers, fully active since 2024 replacing SIRE 1.0. SIRE 2.0 uses tablet-based inspections with a hierarchical question structure: core questions for all vessels and rotational questions selected by risk algorithm. Inspections cover hardware, processes, and human factors with an explicit assessment of behavioural competence beyond procedural compliance. The expanded inspector training and accreditation regime is central to the new programme; reports remain shared among OCIMF member oil majors for vetting decisions.
