The Danish seafarer trade-union structure operates via 3F Sømændenes Forbund (Seamen's Union of 3F, the Danish general workers' federation) which represents ~7,000 Danish seafarers, plus CO-Sea, the coordinating body for Nordic seafarer unions (Denmark + Norway + Sweden + Finland). Together they negotiate the JNG (Joint Negotiating Group) Nordic CBA framework — one of the strongest national CBA frameworks globally, covering Danish-flag deep-sea + coastal fleet + a substantial share of the Nordic-controlled international fleet. The framework is notable for including strong shore-leave + rest-hour + rotation provisions that go beyond MLC 2006 minimums.
