Chittagong Port is 10-20 minutes from central Chittagong city by agent van. The newer Patenga Container Terminal is 25-40 minutes.

Seafarer tips
Do: visit the famous Patenga Beach if time permits. Don't: photograph the ship-breaking yards (politically sensitive). Watch for: traffic in Chittagong is severe; budget extra time for crew-change van timing. The welfare centre's van service is the most reliable transport for crew.
