Do: use Gojek and Grab (Indonesian app variants); confirm seaman's-book paperwork before leaving the ship. Don't: photograph government or military sites. Watch for: Jakarta traffic is among the world's worst — plan crew-change van timing with significant buffer. Tanjung Priok area itself has limited services; most crew head into central Jakarta.
