How to verify
- Confirm the manning agency's licence number with the national regulator.
- Confirm the principal shipowner on /companies and on their official site.
- Confirm the vessel by IMO on /ships and on the flag-state register.
- Read the SEA + CBA reference before flying.
- Confirm financial security (MLC A2.5.2 + A4.2.1) — ask for the certificate.
- Compare the wage against /salaries and the ITF/IBF tables.
- Cross-check the PEME provider, the visa process, and the travel letter.

- Save copies of every document, message, and payment.
- Brief a family member or trusted shoreside contact on the offer before flying.
