Overview
Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding is the newer, larger Taixing facility of the Yangzijiang Shipbuilding group, sitting alongside the original Jingjiang yard on the north bank of the Yangtze River. The New Yangzi site drove Yangzijiang's rise into the global top-five builders by CGT during the 2020s LNG-dual-fuel container-ship order boom. Principal output is Neopanamax + ULCV container ships, Kamsarmax bulkers, and increasingly LNG-dual-fuel + methanol-ready tonnage for MSC, CMA CGM, and Seaspan.

Why it matters to seafarers
Officers joining recently-built LNG-dual-fuel container ships for MSC, CMA CGM, or Seaspan are increasingly likely to be joining New Yangzi hulls. The yard's ME-GI + XDF fuel-system installations follow standard MAN-ES and WinGD reference designs but with Chinese-supplied bunker piping arrangements distinct from Korean-built sisters.
