Head of the engine department, responsible to the Master for propulsion, auxiliary machinery, electrical systems.

What they do

Manages the engine-room department, budget, planned maintenance, technical correspondence with the office. Reports to the Master on technical matters and is responsible to the flag administration and class society for technical compliance.
