Marine pollutants must carry the 'Marine Pollutant' (dead-fish-and-tree) mark on packages and on the transport unit. The IMDG Code lists marine pollutants in its dangerous-goods list (column 4 'MP'), and the substance may also be assigned a primary hazard class.
