Overview
The Swedish Club was founded in 1872 in Gothenburg and is the smallest of the International Group P&I clubs by tonnage (around 50 million GT) but unique in that it offers all three principal marine covers — P&I, hull, and freight-demurrage-and-defence (FDD) — through one mutual. The club's combined cover model is attractive to operators who want a single counterparty for cross-class incidents.
