Common allotment scenarios

• · Filipino seafarer — typical allotment is 80% of wages to home account in PHP. Bank fee on USD inward remittance via Pinoy Express / GCash typically 0.5–1.5% effective spread.
• · Indian seafarer — wages paid in USD to NRE/NRO account in INR. Tax-exempt as NRI if <182 days in India in the FY. Wise / Remitly typically beat bank rates by 0.5–1.5%.
• · Ukrainian seafarer — USD to UAH or to a Polish/Romanian transit account. War-era controls in place; coordinate with manning agent before fixing the receive bank.
• · European officer (Greek/Polish/UK flag) — settlement is direct in EUR/PLN/GBP from owner's bank; allotment splits sometimes used for offshore-USD savings.
