Overview
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) is a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), located in Pudong, Shanghai. SWS is one of the world's largest builders of VLCCs and Capesize bulk carriers, plus an increasing share of LNG-fuelled and ammonia-ready new-builds. Delivered China's first domestically-built large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, in 2024.
