MSC United VIII

Summary

The MSC-operated container ship MSC United VIII was struck by a Houthi anti-ship ballistic missile in the southern Red Sea. Two missiles were fired; one impacted the vessel. Damage was contained to the deck area. The strike occurred during the peak intensity phase of the Houthi campaign and contributed to MSC's decision to route the majority of Asia-Europe traffic via the Cape of Good Hope for subsequent months. No crew casualties reported.
